About
Hi, I'm Christa, and I'm really glad you're here.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) offering virtual therapy across Virginia and Washington, DC. I earned my Master's in Counseling in 2018, and I mostly work with adolescents, teens, and young women. The ones who often hear they're "too sensitive" or "too much," or that they're "doing great" when they know, deep down, they're not.
My style is warm, curious, and honest. I won't nod politely while you spiral, but I also won't rush you. We move at the pace that actually lets change stick.
Outside the therapy room I love long walks with my dog, oat milk lattes, and a good playlist for crying in the car. (Highly therapeutic, in my professional opinion.)
My approach
Therapy that actually fits your life.
I work from a trauma-informed, relational lens, which is a fancy way of saying I care about what happened to you, not what's "wrong" with you. Together we'll look at the patterns that keep you stuck, the beliefs you picked up along the way, and the parts of you that are trying so hard to keep you safe (even when they show up as anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing).
I pull from evidence-based approaches that fit you: person-centered care, CBT, and attachment-based work, because the best therapy is the kind that actually makes sense for your life. I do use worksheets at times to help you keep engaging with the work between sessions, but they aren't the whole plan. Real change happens when you feel genuinely seen, not when you're following a script.
Values
I lead with curiosity instead of judgment, and I care more about you feeling safe than getting it 'right.' Therapy works best when it feels like a collaboration. You're the expert on your life, and I'm here to help you make sense of it.
What to expect
Sessions are virtual, 45-50 minutes, and paced to you. We'll start with what's present today, build trust, and work toward the goals that matter to you. No forced disclosures required.
My commitment
To show up as a real person, not a blank slate. To be honest with you. To honor your story. And to never make you feel like you're "too much" for talking about hard things.
